LANXESS sold polyamide and polyester monofilament business

German special chemicals group LANXESS announced on March 20 that it had sold its wholly-owned subsidiary perlon monofil to Serafin group headquartered in Munich, Germany. The transaction volume was not announced, and the transaction took effect immediately

in September 2013, LANXESS announced to seek strategic options for non core businesses including perlon monofil. Perlon monofil Co., Ltd. has about 100 employees, mainly producing polyamide (PA) and polyester (P machine sound rumble ET) monofilament products, and has perlon, Atlas and bayco brands. In Germany, dormagen, a seamless steel pipe root larger than 4.8mm, has a production plant and technical center. Perlon monofil achieved sales of about 30million euros in 2013. Nextrusion, owned by perlon monofil, is a leader in the application of polyester monofilament in paper machine blankets and other technical fibers. Nextrus can provide solutions faster.
